  1. 01 · Type

    Type what you need.

    Type anything, or tap a ready-made card for the room you’re in: café, doctor, airport and more.

  2. 02 · Show

    Show it big.

    One tap fills the whole screen with your words, big enough to read across the counter.

  3. 03 · Flip

    Flip it to face them.

    Turn it 180° so the person across from you reads it the right way up. No reaching over, no twisting the phone.

    Let your phone say it.

    Let your phone say it, in the voice you pick. Your call, every time.

Is Heywaver free?

Yes, it’s free to use. Sign up for early access and you’ll be one of the first in.

Do I need an account?

No. There’s no sign-up and no account. Everything stays on your device.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your cards are always there, with or without a signal.

Can it help me ask for an interpreter or captions?

Yes. In Settings → Access, pick what you use (an ASL interpreter, live captions (CART), a tactile interpreter, and more), and Heywaver adds cards for asking for it.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything you type stays on your phone. Nothing is sent to us, and there’s nothing to track.

Who is Heywaver for?

It’s built by and for Deaf and hard of hearing people, but anyone can use it. If showing or speaking your words ever makes a moment easier, Heywaver’s for you.
